The Project
Ster Kinekor needed to create hype to promote the exclusive pre screening of new Marvel movie “The Wolverine”. In the past Ster Kinekor averaged less than 70% attendance to a preview screening.
To solve the problem Ster Kinekor contacted Gareth Cliff and iShack Innovation Consultancy to provide a digital strategy, to help promote the new Marvel movie “The Wolverine”.
The digital strategy implemented the following elements:
- radio via live reads on 5fm,
- social media posts and tweets,
- ticket distribution and tickets confirmations for the event
What we did
IShack Innovation Consultancy activated Eishcoupon, our in-house developed freebie ticket distribution software to distribute tickets to Gareth Cliff’s faithful fans. Gareth dropped one Facebook status and one tweet, with a link to the Eishcoupon portal and “bang”! Less than 20 minutes all the tickets had been sold out!
Results
We were able to achieve an attendance rate of over 90%, with fans being overjoyed with the user experience of Eishcoupon and thankful to Gareth Cliff and Ster Kinekor for this unique opportunity.
